Gateway Baptist Church is seeking an Associate Pastor for its Redlands campus.

This is a part-time pastoral role centred on connections, discipleship, and helping people find their place in authentic Christian community. The Associate Pastor will play a key role in creating welcoming environments, strengthening pathways for growth, and supporting volunteers as they help others belong, become like Jesus, and make a difference.

About the Role

Working closely with the Redlands Campus Pastor, you will help oversee the connections and discipleship pathways across the campus. This includes supporting teams such as Welcome, Connect, Life Groups, Alpha, and Practicing the Way, while helping shape a culture where people feel seen, supported, and encouraged to take next steps.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Developing and supporting volunteer leaders and ministry teams
• Strengthening pathways that help people move from first-time guest to engaged community member
• Supporting the growth and health of Life Groups
• Hosting and occasionally preaching in Sunday services
• Helping create a safe, welcoming and well-led Sunday environment

• Is organised and able to lead multiple areas with support from volunteers

This role is ideal for someone with pastoral gifting who enjoys walking alongside people and helping them grow in community, rather than building platforms or programs alone.
