The Bride, the Beasts and the Lamb

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 1:8

The Book of Revelation

The Book of Revelation is one of the most fascinating and challenging books in the Bible. Overflowing with imagery and symbolism, it speaks to the struggles of the early church under Roman persecution and to the timeless reality of a cosmic battle that continues to shape our world.

At the heart of this vision are four central characters: the One who sits on the Throne, the Bride who worships Him, the Beasts who oppose Him, and the Lamb who was slain. Through their story, we see a picture of conflict and triumph, struggle and hope. Revelation reminds us that all the powers of the world will one day bow before Jesus, the victorious Lamb.

The question is: Who will we worship? Will we give our allegiance to the fleeting powers and promises of this world, or to the One who reigns over all creation? Revelation calls us to lift our eyes, remain faithful and worship the Lamb who has conquered sin, death and evil. One day all of creation will declare the glory of the risen King.
