The Creator knows what is best for His creation, and He has not hidden that wisdom from us. The book of Proverbs is a collection of God-given wisdom—timeless principles that teach us how to honour Him and flourish in every area of live. They are not promises that every outcome will go our way, but are reliable principles for living wisely in God’s world.

Proverbs tells us that the beginning of wisdom is to get wisdom (Proverbs 4:7). We are invited to seek God’s perspective rather than relying on our own. But wisdom is more than knowing what is right. It is living according to what God has revealed. Sometimes we live unwisely because we have not yet received God’s wisdom. Other times we live unwisely because we have not yet obeyed the wisdom we have already come to know.

Throughout this series, we will discover God’s wisdom for stewardship, generosity, relationships, our words, forgiveness, friendship, work and more. Each week you will be invited to do two things: get wise by receiving God’s wisdom, and live wise by putting that wisdom into practice.
